All didn’t go exactly as planed for Alistair Overeem at UFC 141. The UFC heavyweight allegedly got into a shoving match with a women at the Winn Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas following his defeat of Brock Lesnar. Alistair was not arrested, but issued a citation to appear in court.
“Overeem pushed or shoved a woman in the face, “causing her to stagger back.”
“If convicted, the heavyweight title challenger faces a maximum of six months in the Clark County Detention Center and not more than a $1,000 fine.” [LVRJ]
He now faces the charge of one count of misdemeanor battery and is expected to answer to these charges on Feb. 21 in Las Vegas.
