Multiple media source have confirmed with Affliction VP Tom Atencio, that Chris Horodecki (12-1) was not cleared by the CSAC to fight Dan Lauzon this Saturday at Affliction “Day of Reckoning” due to injury. No replacement has been announced.
According to Sherdog, Hordecki’s head trainer Shawn Tompkins has confirmed that it is due to a bulging disc in his neck and not a neurological problem like has been rumored.
“Chris has a bulging disc in the base of his neck … It’s restricting 80 percent of his strength in his right arm and the doctors wouldn’t approve [the fight].”
this is the only thing i hate about mma is all of the injuries right before a fight. i just hope fedor and AA are good to go on saturday.
