Thiago Alves had a very impressive win over the UFC veteran Tony DeSouza in UFC 66. After that fight, Alves tested positive for Spironolactone, which is a diuretic and banned substance in the UFC. Spiro-what? Yeah, thats what I said. Ahead for Alves is a possible fine and suspension by the Nevada State Athletic Commission much like Stefen Bonner a few months back.
