Today the UFC has announced, UFC veteran Jeremy Horn will step in for the injured Thales Leites and take on Nate Marquardt at UFC 81 on February 2 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Returning to the Octagon for the first time since back to back wins over Trevor Prangley and Chael Sonnen in 2005-2006 , respected middleweight contender Jeremy Horn will replace injured Thales Leites and face Nate Marquardt on February 2nd’s UFC 81 card in Las Vegas.
Horn hold an extensive 100+ fight MMA record with wins over Chuck Liddell, Dean Lister, Forrest Griffin, David Loiseau and Josh Burkman.
Horn has not fought in the UFC in two years, since wining a submission victory over Chael Sonnen at UFC 60 in 2006.
You have to respect a guy who will fight just for the sake of fighting. I don't think this guy ever turns down a fight even if its on short notice.
he is always willing to step in there at almost any weight class too.
Horn has a very impressive list of wins over his belt, and i respect the shit out of him for taking this fight agaisnt a proven opponent…should be entertaining

this matchup interests me a lot more than the first one it think horn will be a great addition to the middle weight division… now with hendo, bisping, tanner, and horn the middle weight division looks a lot stronger and not weak at all.
This match up interests me more as well.
Don't know much about Horn other than he has a win over Chuck… will he give Nate and real fight… is it a 50/50 on who will win??
I haven't seen Horn in a while so i don't know…Nate is one of the top Middleweights right now so if Horn looks less than sharp it may not mean anything due to the time he had to train for Marquartd….I think this is a good fight and i honestly do not know who will win…DANp ask joe that guy knows what hes atlking about when it comes to MMA haha
horn is a legend in mma with over 100 fights and only stopped twice in that 100.he does not have much power in his strikes but he is a very technical fighter.
also he fights at any weight class he will fight m.w. lhw and h.w.
i think this horn is a badass and this fight will be very good and i do give horn point for taing it on a short terms
